If we decide we don't need to do what's necessary to achieve our goals those goals are evidently not necessary to us. If we don't make our goals necessary they will never become a reality.

 Show Notes;

 We all know the story of the tortoise and the hare, but did we learn anything from that story when we were young? I look around and I feel like in today’s environment everybody is a hare, People are hopping around from one thing to another without accomplishing anything.

Most people seem to be looking for the get rich quick route, hey as a matter of fact that sounds like a great idea, fast money, easy money the whole thing sounds great. Just not very likely to work out, be meaningful to you or long lived.

So, just in case you haven’t heard the story there is a tortoise and a hare. They have some disagreement about something or other let’s call it old farmer Smiths delicious cabbage’s. So the rabbit challenged him to a race, the tortoise reluctantly agrees.

The next day they line up for the race, and off they go, and as you might guess the hare tears off and the tortoise starts at an underwhelming pace. The hare with his overwhelming ego, decided to stop and have tea with a friend, some crumpets with spectators, then curled up and took a nap.

The tortoise steadily moving forward passes the hare while he slept soundly after he was full of tea and crumpets. When the hare awoke he just strolled along his way not realizing he had been passed by in his slumber.

When the hare pranced across the finish line expecting a victor’s welcome but instead to his astonishment the hare earned the agony of defeat. He earned the agony. He underestimated his opponent, he was not focused on the goal, he could have won the race easily and with little effort but would not do what it takes to win.

All the while the tortoise stayed steady like a train and just kept moving forward little by little doing his thing.

He quietly stayed focus on the goal while keeping his head down and nose to the grind stone. He worked tirelessly on that one goal. In this example its easy to see how someone who seemingly could not compete was able to rise to the top.

There is no difference with you, me or anyone else. If we decide we don’t need to do what’s necessary to achieve our goals those goals are evidently not necessary to us. If we do not make our goals NECESSARY they will never become a reality. The will stay Ideas, The will stay dreams and eventually those dreams will rot and become regrets.

You cannot not let this happen, you must always know that:

While you are sleeping others are working and when you are playing others are working.

You need to turn off the TV, get started on whatever you have been thinking about, and remember if you are doing something you are getting further ahead than the person who will not get off the couch. Just like our under dog or (under shell) he out did competition that should have crushed him but instead ended up with a startling loss.

You need to be the tortoise that out runs, out works, out does everyone else to get whatever it it that you want.

Show the world what you’re made of….
